Common problems logging in.
1) On rare occassion you may have trouble logging. Usually, if you completely quit and relaunch the browser application (IE, Netscape, etc) you should be able to log in.
2) Incorrect username or password. If you forgot either your username or password, you can have them emailed to you. Click here: Forgot your password?
3) All sessions expire after 2 hours, just re-login if this happens. We do this to help ensure that no one other than yourself will be able to use your account should you happen to leave your computer unattended.

I want off! How do I delete my account?
It's easy: login, then click the My Account link and click the 'Delete Membership' link.
You can also go to the My Profile section and 'Hide' your profile without deleting your membership data. This makes it so your profile does not show up in search results. However, if you email someone, they will be able to view your profile even if it is hidden.

How do I email people I am interested in?
1) When viewing a members profile click on the 'Contact Member' button. You must be logged in and be a subscribing member for this to work.
2) If you are reading an email in the My Email section, you can click the 'Reply' button. You only need to be a basic member (it's free) to reply to email messages.

I can't read my email - it keeps asking me to login. Why?
Without getting too technical, you probalby have two cookies set in your browser - and the cookie that is old (and expired) is the one that is being read.
Solution: Completely quit and relaunch your browser application (IE, Netscape, etc). That will delete all cookies. You should then be able to login and read your email.
Note: We are working on a better session tracking solution. The problem only occurs for 1 out of every 500 sessions.

Can I have my messages go to my email address?
No. We prefer that you visit the site to get your email. Once you get a message from another member you can give that person your email address, but we recommend you do that only after you are comfortable with that person.
SPAM ALERT: Sadly, there are some users who are only interested in getting your email address so they can include it in their spam list. Beware of someone who doesn't say much other than ask you to send your email address. Fortunately, spammers don't like to work too hard, so by keeping the conversation within our email system you will prevent that from happening - they usually will not write back because it's too much work.

How can I Block or Unblock a Member?
Blocking a member prevents that member from sending mail to you. Provided you are logged in, there are two ways to Block a Member:
1) Go to the profile of the Member and click the 'Block Member' button.
2) Go to your Email page and locate the 'Members I've Blocked' section (lower/right side of page). Below that section there is a form lets you enter the Username of the Member. Enter the Username and click the 'Block Member' button.
To Unblock a Member, you have to do it from your Email page (as described above) and check the checkbox corresponding to the Member you want to Unblock then click the 'Unblock Member' button.
